I was driving in the car and heard something on Wisconsin Public Radio about how physicians are revolting against the ethical soundness of hunger strikes. After someone in GitMo, etc goes on hunger strike they are “screened” for mental illness. Apparently, starving yourself to death for a political cause is sane, but starving (killing) yourself in protest against the meaninglessness of life is somehow not sane. Discuss.
